Lesson 1 of 6 / Open to everyone

What actually is a meme coin?

Culture, community and a tradable token. Understand what you are looking at before looking at a chart.

The idea to keepEnjoying a community and buying its token are separate decisions.

An internet idea with a token attached

A meme coin is a crypto asset associated with a joke, character, internet moment or community. It may be a coin on its own network or a token on an existing blockchain. Attention and shared enthusiasm can drive interest, but neither creates a dependable price floor.

Some communities make art, run events or build tools. Others offer little beyond a name and a market. Ask what exists today, who can use it and whether a token is actually needed.

Belonging does not define your rights

A token does not automatically make you a company owner, give you a share of revenue or guarantee voting power. Membership, rewards, NFT ownership and commercial rights each need explicit terms. A friendly chat is not a substitute for those terms.

Here, learning and the PFP maker are public. Premium Community membership is planned for verified token holders, but our token has not launched. Learning here requires no purchase.

Price can disappear faster than attention

Crypto investments can be highly speculative. Prices can fall sharply, a platform can fail, and fraud can make losses permanent. You may lose everything you put in. A large following or polished website is not evidence that an asset is suitable for you.

Check your understanding

One question before you go.

A community has great art and a popular token. What does holding it automatically guarantee?

Read the answer and explanation

Neither. Popularity and good art do not create financial rights or guaranteed returns. Check explicit terms and separate participation from investment.

Your answer stays in this page and is not submitted. A correct answer is not a safety certification.
